A romantic winter wedding

Elisa and Francesco are about to celebrate their first anniversary of marriage.
They got in touch with me in May 2016, with a very few ideas and even less time to develop them. 2 things they knew for sure: first, they wanted to get married within the year; second, they would have loved their wedding to be in December (a winter wedding, eventually!!).
After a few¬†tough years, 2016 brought wonderful news into Elisa and Franscesco’s lives, and it was worthy to celebrate it with their loved ones.

Elisa is a sweet elegant girl. Even if we are peers and we live in the same town, we haven’t known each other before then. And yet she looked familiar to me.
A few days after our first meeting, while leafing through an old book of photos, I clearly spotted her in a nice picture of a Christmas recital: we were 5 years old, and she was standing beside me, with a small mistletoe bouquet, greeting her parents.
I thought destiny got us to meet again so I could support her in another special touching moment ūüôā

Francesco is a smart lovely guy. Together with his wife-to-be he shares a deep respect for animals and nature, as well as a similar academic background, consisting in sacrifices and sleepless nights spent over the books. They both studied law, he is a professor now, while Elisa is moving her first steps into the magistrate career.

They were dreaming of a simple yet elegant wedding, with a touch of red color. That’s the only thing they told me and gave me carte blanche¬†to get their dream come true.
I started with the wedding paper suite, offering a precious set handmade in Amalfi, with a brick-red classic font and embossed monograms. The envelope was embellished with a custom made sealing wax.

The wedding date was close to Christmas so it was easy to think about the perfect style for the event.
The floral arrangements were typical of the festivity as we used seasonal plants, flowers and materials: pine wreaths, wine poinsettias, pine cones… We managed to create a warm atmosphere, which you can only breath during this magical period of the year.

Elisa and Francesco are very sensitive and attentive to people in need. Many artisans and little farmers living in the hinterland of the Marche region, lost their homes because of the earthquake in October 2016. We felt the urge to do something for them, so I came up with the idea of ethical wedding favors made with typical products of that area: pecorino cheese, lentils, honey and jam, nicely packed in small baskets delighted all the guests and gave earthquake victims little hope.

I write this post after one year from Elisa and Francesco’s wedding and I re-experience the same emotions of that spacial day, I see the guests smiling faces again… and I realize how fascinating¬†my job is as it allows me to go along people during one of the most beautiful moments of their lives.
